Spring 2010 RumbaFrance 2008, 77 minutes, comedy
This engaging, gentle and quirky tragi-comedy about a couple of gangly teachers with a passion for Latin dance contests harks back to silent and semi-silent genres with a comic style reminiscent of Jacques Tati. The filmmakers compose their deadpan gags with virtually no dialogue. Driving home after winning yet another dance trophy, Dom and Fiona (Belgian clown Dominique Abel and his Canadian wife, Fiona Gordon) have a fateful encounter and the couple awake in hospital with their lives forever changed. The result, believe it or not, is funny, inventive, extremely touching and never cruel. LINKS » Official website,
