Memberships

As a registered non-profit society, the SCFS screens films which in many cases have not been reviewed by the B.C. Film Classification Board. Under B.C. law any person wishing to see these unclassified films must belong to the SCFS and be 18 year of age or older. We sell single event memberships for each film night ($3) or annual memberships ($12).

Join the SCFS using the downloadable membership form [pdf 1p] or in person at any film night. Annual members will be asked to show their membership card when purchasing tickets.

Show Times

All showings are on Monday nights at 7:30 pm at the Heritage Playhouse in Gibsons, unless otherwise noted. Doors open at 7 pm. Reserved tickets are held until 7:15. To enhance the filmgoing experience, we regret that there is no admittance to the theatre after 7:30pm.

Reservations

You may reserve a ticket online using our online form.

Disabled Access

The Film Society gives priority for front row seating to people in wheelchairs, or those who have difficulty with stairs. You can contact us in advance, or simply talk to the ushers when you arrive at the theatre. The handicap parking spots at the Heritage Theatre are on the North Road side of the building, and there is a ramp up to the front doors. While the theatre has been retrofitted for wheelchair accessibility, it's an old building and clearances are tight in the hallways and washrooms.
